Hi Friend 👋🏾
Unfortunately, I’m icky-vicky-sicky and haven’t been able to share space with you all this week. It’s incredible to read all about your experiences in the space while I’m away. Several friends reached out simply to say, “Babe, SpaceCraft is poppin rn”. And, that’s all I can ask for! I’m aiming to be back by the next Artists Playground. See you then!
Best,

Our beloved co-op member, Ethan Graham Roeder, is headed for London today to continue his education in Acting & Directing. EG is a dear friend and inspires SpaceCraft consistently to elevate our artistry.
Despite being 5 hours ahead of us, EG is dedicated to stewarding First Take Co. We are beyond grateful to have him as a co-op member and encourage you to support all his company produces throughout the year.

🖼️ Throwbacks ↓
The Big Ears festival is hands down the most anticipated weekend in Knoxville, TN. I was introduced to this world renowned jazz festival in 2023. I was newly plugged into Open Arts Knoxville (OAKnox), a grassroots artists collective, and was invited to join the annual Cattywampus community parade.
Without hesitation, OAKnox got to work! We shared an entire evening making puppet masks in a downtown studio filled wall to wall with arts supplies. As the daylight sunsets, we all work tirelessly to engineer a silly animal masks that defies the odds.
The parade was magical! We endured the high winds and took the city by storm. There was a makeshift community band, older women dressed as cats, and children sporting HUGE puppets shaped like rockets and Dolly Parton. I was a bright sight in an at-times mundane city.
After the parade, many of us we offered a free day pass and explore the various talent booming throughout the city. One of the most awe-inspiring shows was Tank & The Bangas. I somehow found myself at the front of stage smiling ear to ear as I experience an incredible poet ensemble alongside new friends.
Now this is only a taste of the weekend. I saved the other savory details for my diary (teehee)!
